REEF ENVIRONMENTAL SECURES NHS CONTRACT

A 5-year deal to provide Confidential Waste Services

St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, June 2020 — Reef Environmental Solutions Ltd has recently expanded its ties with East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust by securing a 5-year deal to provide Confidential Waste Services across the county.  Reef successfully won a tender for this work after previously qualifying as an approved NHS contractor under a competitive framework process.

Reef will be providing various containers at a number of NHS sites throughout East Sussex, and undertaking regular collections, both scheduled and on demand.  The Reef team are all fully trained in working on NHS sites, and undergo full security screening on a regular basis.  They use the latest equipment and vehicles to achieve a fully compliant and environmentally friendly service.  This is backed up by a knowledgeable and friendly customer service team, to make sure that clients always receive a first-class service.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in May 2018 and brought with it some major changes to how data is held and protected.  All businesses and organisations have had to review how they meet this legislation, and Reef have worked with the NHS to ensure full compliance for Confidential Waste.

The 5-year deal was agreed when the Covid-19 pandemic was at its height and now comes into full operation. Reef has worked alongside the Trust to ensure that the service was still delivered, whilst observing the strict protocols put in place by the NHS at this time.
